It is with great pleasure that the Bundanoon Highland Gathering Committee announce that Mary Kiani will be making another appearance at Brigadoon on 7th April.
Come and listen to Mary as she entertain the crowds at Brigadoon, first appearance is singing Scotland’s National Song “Flower of Scotland at the Opening Ceremony.
She will appear again on Stage several times during the day (check the Programme for details) and will also have a performance in the Fiddlers Tent
Mary is a Scottish singer, who first had hit songs as vocalist for dance music at The Time Frequency (TTF) in the early 1990s and later a solo career. Before TTF, Mary was Session/Backing vocalist and has toured with artists such as Donny Osmond, John Reid & The Nightcrawlers (Push the felling on)..Paul Young (UK). Hue & Cry( UK) China Crisis (UK) and performs vocals on The Simpson’s’ Yellow Album.
Mary Kiani is one of Scotland’s greatest exports of Song! Well known as the Scottish Songbird who was originally signed with Mercury Records, she has had many international hits in the dance and pop music genre throughout the 90’s in her homeland of Scotland, the British Isles, Europe and Australia.
Mary has always had a passion for the “songbook” style of classic standards which she has been singing throughout her illustrious career.
Now residing in Sydney full time for the past 5 years and during time has been teaching voice from her studio in Newtown on a one to one basis and signed to Australian label Fanfare Records, she delivers her new album, “Little Things Mean A Lot” along with many other beautiful songs delivered in her own unique style.
For the past three years Mary has been involved with The Murrayfield Ball for St Andrews day, singing ‘Flower of Scotland along with The Macleod pipe band and also singing with Bob McInnes on fiddle.
Every year on the 25th January she puts on her own ‘Burns Supper’ at The Polo Lounge on Oxford St.
